The Cooper Studio had just been founded in Autumn of 2023 when I ran into an awesome woman named Kathryn at the Near Southside monthly meeting. She was asking members if anyone would like to help found the the Mardi Gras Near Southside event. It had started in her neighborhood, and she was looking to make it a bigger situation. And thus, Kathryn, a few other folk, and myself founded the Cleo Krewe of Fort Worth. Our mission is simple. We want to educate the public and spread culture of Mardi Gras in our wonderful little corner called The Near Southside, and have fun while doing it. Check out the website here!
